Move with greater ease, balance, and confidence

A calm, structured movement programme designed to improve mobility, posture, balance, body awareness, and confidence in your movement.

A Gentle Approach with Real Purpose

Somatix is a practical movement system designed to improve posture, mobility, balance, and confidence, especially for adults over 50 who want to move with greater ease in everyday life.

Many people do not lose confidence in movement overnight. What often changes first is how the body feels. Stiffness increases, balance feels less steady, and everyday tasks begin to feel harder. Somatix is designed to help reverse that pattern through calm, structured movement.

Who Somatix Is For

Somatix is ideal for people who want to:

  • move with greater ease
  • reduce stiffness and tightness
  • improve balance and coordination
  • feel steadier on their feet
  • build confidence in everyday movement
  • stay active without high-impact exercise
  • support posture, strength, and body awareness in a calm way

How Somatix May Help

People attending Somatix often begin to notice improvements such as:

  • less stiffness and tension from sitting and phone use
  • improved balance and confidence on the feet
  • better posture awareness
  • reduced tightness in the neck, upper back, hips, and lower back
  • better control in the legs, hips, and core
  • more confidence walking, turning, standing, and using stairs

What Happens in a Class

Each session includes posture reset work, gentle mobility, controlled strength, simple balance drills, and calm, structured movement patterns. Everything is coached with options, so you can work at a level that feels safe and manageable.

This is not about pressure, rushing, or keeping up with others. It is about helping the body move better again, calmly and practically.

Where Sessions Take Place

Somatix sessions are delivered in person at community venues across County Offaly. Online coaching and support are also available by video call or phone.

International Men’s Day, Tullamore

Wednesday 19th November – International Men’s Day, Tullamore

I was honoured to be invited to International Men’s Day in Tullamore to lead a room full of men through simple, accessible movement.

This was not about fitness for fitness’s sake. It was about health, confidence, connection, and permission to move again.

Every exercise we did had a purpose:

  • to reduce stiffness
  • to wake up the nervous system
  • to improve posture and circulation
  • to remind the body that it is still capable

Just as importantly, it showed that movement supports the mind and spirit, not just the body.

Many men are carrying years of tension, stress, injuries, and silence. When you give them a safe space to move, something changes.

The energy in the room said everything.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this day possible, and to every man who stood up, reached out, and took part.
